MANIFATTURE MILANO PROJECT
Manifatture Milano is an important project of urban upgrading, aiming at giving back to "Human beings" their City with the innovative idea of a "pedestrian citadel", recovering, besides functionality and comfort, also the concept of a happy living.
Preserved by the Superintendence for Architectural and Landscape Heritage as an extremely interesting industrial architecture from a historical point of view, today Manifatture Milano is revived as project of innovative redevelopment, mainly with housing function. The restoration of the existing buildings, sensibly modifying their internal spaces with high quality characteristics, will be in the forefront for design and construction solutions.
It was 1930 when the first brick of the industrial building Manifattura Tabacchi in Milan was laid on the ground, its final architectural structure was completed only in 1960 and it was finally dismantled, as manufacturing centre, in 1999.

Village and Bicocca Hangar - an area of contemporary art - offers several cultural and recreational opportunities.

because since its design phase, it has been considered an area with a marked cultural vocation, where creativity
and visual arts are naturally based in the Experimental Centre of Cinematography, Cineaudiovisual Centre of
Regione Lombardia and the Civic School of Cinema.
Manifatture Milano is closer
because it is easily connected thanks to the public transport, underground and buses, which will be extended with
the next opening of line 5 of the underground, with Bicocca stop very close to the project area along with the
new surface tramway.
